Abstract

This deliverable illustrates the preliminary results achieved in the software implementation task T5.1 Implementation of the Service Bus components. The deliverables mainly focuses on the description of the implemented managers and illustrates changes to the overall architecture and the managers’ functional descriptions. It accompanies the first releases of software components which are now going to be tested within Trial 1 and therefore includes installation and configuration notes for the developed components and external dependencies.

This report is one of several D4.x, D5.x, D6.x and D7.x deliverables which all illustrate the software implementation efforts taken within the SPIKE project. In particular, the deliverable is the first one in the series of D5.2 documents, which aim at illustrating the development results achieved in the area of the SPIKE Service Bus. It presents the first preliminary release of software components, which are now to be tested and evaluated on component level during Trial 1 [D9.2]. The document starts with a short overview of implemented components and how they fit and cover the overall architecture defined in [D3.1] and further refined in [D3.2] and [D5.1]. In chapter 3 we shortly describe the installation and configuration of third party software components our implemented modules depend on. Chapter 4 is the most significant contribution of this document as it illustrates the first versions of the developed components in more detail as well as the location where the components can be found and individual implementation notes and hints on their integration with third party frameworks and tools. Chapter 5 shows the current development status by comparing the present developments with the required functionality of each component as defined in [D5.1]. Finally, the document is completed by a chapter on future integration plans and currently still missing functionality to align all currently still separate components into an integrated system.
