Deliverable D1.2b Interim Project Report Final

Abstract

This document aims at presenting an overview of the overall status of the SPIKE project during the reporting period January 1, 2008 until June 30, 2008. Major results are identified and briefly described. Also, communication within the project consortium is briefly addressed. The document concludes with an overview of project management activities, which have taken place within the reporting period.

SPIKE will develop a software platform for the easy and fast setup of business alliances. The project targets two main organisational objectives: first, outsourcing parts of the value chain to business partners (and vice versa, offering such parts in form of services); second, enabling collaboration between members of participating organisations through ad-hoc created as well as predefined business processes. SPIKE will enable collaboration and cooperation between networked enterprises.
This document represents the outcome of task T1.3: Project reporting, which foresees semi-annual reports about the project’s progress. Two different types of reports can be distinguished: interim progress reports, taking place at the end of project month 6, 18 and 24 on the one hand, and periodic progress reports, taking place at the end of project month 12 and 24. Finally, a final project report will be distributed after the end of the project’s duration. This interim report focuses on the reporting period mentioned on the cover page and gives a brief overview on the project’s overall standing.
This document is structured as follows: In the first section, a brief general overview of the SPIKE project, consisting of its objectives and the objectives of the current reporting period, will be given, followed by a short description of project communications. The description of work progress and achievements during the period forms the major part of this document, where the work performed during single tasks and major achievements of individual work packages are presented. The document concludes with a list of all deliverables submitted and milestones already reached and a section about project management activities conducted thus far.
